It takes so much time
to prepare web pages that I've jumped at the chance to let automation do
some of the work. As a result, we have some "photo albums" here that were
composed entirely by software. I went through and added a few captions
here and there, but that's all. The advantage is that it's easy; the
disadvantage is that the software doesn't know enough to get pictures in
the right sequence, it doesn't adjust the pictures for brightness or
color, there are no captions, no adjustment for individual occasions. Most
of all, the software doesn't know when to skip useless, redundant
pictures. Still, it seems worth it; I continue to believe that it's really
better to go for a ride than to pore over the computer to make the photos
come out right. So, there you have it. But, do complain to me if I can
make anything work better. |
